My husband and I worked with Gigi for our engagement pictures and as our wedding day photographer and she far exceeded our expectations! It is hard to put into words how truly amazing our experience was working with Gigi! From our very first session, to my fiancé getting comfortable in front of the camera, Gigi made us look flawless! Not only is her style of shooting fun and directional (she will help you and pose you which takes the awkwardness) but she makes you look like a model. Our wedding day, Gigi made sure to hit all the shots I wanted and even encouraged us to take the extra minute here and there, to get more. And after receiving our photos back, I cried. We went to one of our favorite date night spots and just hung out like we normally would - got food, drinks, played games, etc. Gigi made everything feel so casual and natural yet somehow our photos turned out so freaking good! Gigi is a visionary and so freaking talented! She takes every photoshoot idea I have and runs with it, and each time the end result is better than I originally envisioned. I’ll start by saying I never thought I would be the type to do this kind of thing. As a woman you’re pretty much taught that you shouldn’t be happy with your body. But Gigi made me feel so comfortable and confident every single step of the way. She guided me into poses effortlessly that made me feel like myself & feel sexy. What I got were beautiful photos of myself from her perspective that truly felt like the best sides of myself! Hey, I’m Giovanna. But most of the time, I go by Gigi. I’m a wedding and lifestyle photographer based out of Pittsburgh, PA, but I won’t be asking you to “say cheese.” My approach to photography is to capture real moments.
I love to get to know people and peek into their lives. I appreciate the mundane. I'm intrigued by it.. by how different people spend their day-to-day lives. By how people connect with one another.
Sometimes I’m inspired by the simple, everyday acts of love and intimacy in even my own relationship. Something as simple as the way our bodies fit together while we’re cuddling. Or the moment our eyes connect when we wake up in the morning.
But I also find beauty in chaos. The weird stuff. The wild ones. The loud, the crazy, the messy. It’s probably why shooting wedding receptions is one of my favorite things to do.
